For a number of reasons, I’ve never felt overly comfortable with the name Ozbonography for this site.

It fits in with an overall concept – in that my web design company is Ozbon, and Ozbon Photography seemed to make sense. But somehow it never seemed right.  It didn’t fit with my preferred option for keeping Business separate from Creativity, the name never really gelled – more of a “that’ll do” than a “that’s perfect”, and so the entire thing stagnated a bit.

But now I’ve hit on a “brand” for the creative side of my life, and it’s one that is perfect for me.

So as a result, I’m going to be moving from Ozbonography to a new home at Digit Extractum . There’s two main sections under the Digit Extractum name – Photography and Writing. No prizes for guessing which one Ozbonography will be moving to…

The move will almost certainly involve losing most (if not all) of the posts I’ve written here. The only ones that’ll stay will be the ones that still make sense, I think.

In fact, it almost feels like a new start – a start with something new, and that will (I hope) work far better for me than Ozbonography has.

Finally, I’ve got the blog template to match up with the rest of the site. It’s not perfect, but it’s close enough for cricket.

Of course, if you’ve not been looking at the blog up ’til now, that’s fine too – you won’t notice any difference. But believe me, if you’d seen it before today, you’d notice the change.

Now, the only downside is that I was planning on doing a basic redesign of the site, which would then entail another change to the blog template. But that’s something for the future -at this rate, probably some time in 2008. Maybe.
